The In Betweens Can Lead to Greater Things

If God has called you to it, He will see you through it.

Lots happened between Palm Sunday and Good Friday. The cries from the crowd went from “save us” to “crucify him,” and yet in the instability of the in between, Jesus stayed the course, trusting God for the greater thing.

He was a man on a mission, to carry out His Father’s vision — a plan for eternity that would impact humanity.

He stayed the course.

When He wanted the cup to pass, He stayed the course.

When sweat drops of blood commingled with His tears, He stayed the course.

When a dear friend betrayed Him and another denied Him, He stayed the course.

These things had to happen in between the cheers at His triumphal entry and the jeers at His crucifixion. And this in between was was on display for all to see.

Even more things had to happen in between “It is finished” and “He is risen.” And this in between was a little more behind the scenes, sitting in the silence of Saturday.

But take heart, the in betweens can lead to greater things.

If God has called you to it, He will see you through it.

He’s working in the in between. He’s orchestrating the greater thing.

As Paul reminded Timothy right after he charged him to preach the word, in and out of season, not wavering from the truth, staying the course in the in between...

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” ~ 2 Timothy‬ ‭4:7‬

Don’t give up in the instability or the silence of the in between. Wait for the greater things. Trust God to see you through as you stay the course.
